The Crow = Me

Well, Halloween is coming up, a big favorite of mine. Last year was the first time I celebrated since being in Junior High and was mostly dragged by my friends to the Halloween parade in Manhattan then we walked around 14 Street where all the freaks came out in costume and I had a BALL! I was Phantom of the Opera. This year I decided to go all out and become the Crow. I'm a huge fan of the original comic and the first movie. At first I wanted to be Brother Voodoo this year, but that'll be for a later time. This year I'm The Crow and I'm excited! I already bought most of my make-up and even have a lovely crow for my shoulder. My new best friend.

But yes, for this section of my blog I'll be posting some stuff of the Crow, mostly me getting ready for Halloween later this month. So yes... I decided to do a sketch of most likely what I'll be looking like! Tell me what you think!

-->> phuck .. years ago i went as Crow.. but as Ash ..from "City of Angels".

The for whatever reason , the second film was very special.. just like the first. And i was into any of the spun of mini-series of the original comic. Those books were incredible.

But those things to i had to give up .. still should make for a sessy costume.

Hmm, I can't get myself to enjoy the sequels. The first one was amazing, the sequels don't hold up well at all compared to the first one.

I've yet to read the other Crow series, but I really want to get the one that Image comics/Todd McFarlane released. I hope he releases them in trade at some point.

-->> ..mighta just been me.

I liked the character of Sara.. and somewhat futuristic tone of the second filmed just worked for me. It's the closest of the sequels connected to the original. After that .. the movies are just well - - no comment.

Look into the other stories. If you can handle 'em. I bet you can .. your mind is prolly more stable than mine. They are heavy and variations on a theme.. regarding not just loss of love and justice .. but also family. There are also 'Crow' stories where Crow took the guise of girls.

Sad.. some of the stories seem to have been scrapped. There was even some strange Manga ' Crow' story i couldn't find. I don't know what happened to it.

So good.. such a cool concept.

I really wish they would release the other Crow stories collected. I've heard good things about some of them. And it took me forever to finally get O'Barr's Crow as it's been out of print and finally it came out a few months back and I didn't hesitate to pick it up even though I was trying to save money. Heh, and I think I got the only copy as I've never seen another one again.

-->> ..kinda in a delima.

The other month before i left for California.. actually like a week. My sister uncovered all my old Crow books.

She may have sold them. I am not sure.

If they are gone they are gone.

However.. if they are still there.. or some of them.

You can have em.

To Cover my ass :: no promises.. no promises what so ever. I make to many promises as it is that are tricky to keep.

But if i can find a good home for 'em for someone who actually wants them, and if you can help me cover cost of shipping i'd send them to you.

But again .. i don't know .. they may all be gone. If that's the case.. well i am sorry.

But at this moment i just don't know.

So let me see what i can find out. I'll try to get back to you on this.

-->> ..well we'll cross the bridge when we get there.

God i do hope they are still there. I hope she didn't sell them. God i hope.

It makes no sense that they be sittin' at my Mom's house not being enjoyed like they are supposed to.

I don't hate, i just don't have room in my life for em so.

I don't want them to be wasted. Cross your fingers they are still there.

Heh, it's no biggie if you don't have them. That reminds me of my Yugi-Oh cards! I had a whole bunch and sure, I didn't play with them for a year or so, but my brother decides that he's going to sell them without my permission. So he sells them and makes money off of them, me thinking I still had them until I asked for them. I wanted to knock him the hell out.

Very cool. I also enjoyed the Crow, but...some of the sequels just...*shivers* awful.

I myself am going as...well, I'm not even sure. Some kind of zombified monster, I haven't specified it yet.
